Public:Group Solstice Show 2015
Whistling past the sun's graveyard
For the past few years, a number of people got together to stream over 24hrs of music. It'd be nice to do it again. Why? Because nothing matters unless we decide it matters.
2015 planning
In 2015, Winter Solstice is one of those oddball dates. It occurs at 22 December 04:48 UTC
Status of the streaming software
As of 11 Dec 2015, the live and autoplay icecast streams work. --SeanT (talk) 15:08, 11 December 2015 (EST)

"Useful"
- Useful for calculating some solar and lunar events: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.php
Past presenters have used sunrise/sunset/solstice times to time events in their shows. That's what this list is here for. Please add more locations, if you like. THIS DATA STILL NEEDS TO BE FILLED IN--SeanT (talk) 14:49, 21 November 2015 (EST)

What the fuck is local solstice vs global solstice? Solstice is currently calculated as an event that happens once on the planet. I am not math, so I took the UTC time from sunrise to solstice and used that interval to come up with "local solstice." I'm sure there is a better way to calculate this.
Math is hard. If someone wants to check/improve my local solstice calcs, please do so.
